During the Television Critics Association summer press tour, The CW announced that Kevin Conroy will appear as an older Bruce Wayne in the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover event.

For many, Kevin Conroy is the voice of Batman. He has lent his voice to the Batman: The Animated Series incarnation of the character, as well as the character’s appearances in the animated Justice League series and Batman Beyond (where he was also an older Bruce Wayne). He also voiced the Dark Knight in the Batman: Arkham Asylum trilogy of games developed by Rocksteady Studios.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is this year’s big-upcoming Arrowverse crossover event, which will encompass Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and new series’ Batwoman and Black Lightning. In the comics, Crisis on Infinite Earths was a 1985-86 crossover event that saw DC heroes from different multiverse continuities colliding and fighting the villain Monitor. So far, we know the CW event will also feature Monitor.

For over 30 years Kevin Conroy has been Batman, so it’s incredibly awesome to see him finally get a chance to play the role in live-action. I’m super behind in the Arrowverse, but this event is making me want to catch up asap.

Crisis on Infinite Earths begins with three episodes airing in December 2019 and two in January 2020.

Supergirl – December 8, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

Batwoman – December 9, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

The Flash – December 10, 2019 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

Arrow – January 14, 2020 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT)

Legends of Tomorrow – January 14, 2020 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT)
