Both will work together to adapt the Fortunately, The Milk, which is based on a Neil Gaiman story.
[dropcap size=small]O[/dropcap]n September 30, 2014, best-selling novel Fortunately, The Milk hit the bookshelves. Now, Johnny Depp and Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright will work on making it a movie and are currently negotiating the hot package with FOX.
With the script written by Bret McKenzie, Wright will head the Fortunately, The Milk, which will be a live-action/animation mix. Depp will be the main star of the movie and help produce the movie along side Animal Logic Entertainment (who also produced The Lego Movie.) Producing for Animal Logic Entertainment will be Zareh Nalbandian.
Gaiman’s story is “a story of time and breakfast cereal.” The story starts out with a father who goes to the store to buy milk and instead returns to tell his children tales of aliens, space-time travel, pirates and more.
Gaiman is represented by CAA and Ziffren Brittenham.
