Frankenberry vs. Count Chocula: Dawn of Cereal coming 2020.

Earlier this week, Universal revealed more details about it’s upcoming shared movie monster universe, now officially called the Dark Universe.

The Dark Universe has been confirmed to feature Johnny Depp as The Invisible Man, Javier Bardem as Frankenstein’s Monster, as well as Russell Crowe as Dr. Jekyll, Sofia Boutella as the Mummy, and Tom Cruise as Tom Cruise. Crowe, Boutella, and Cruise will all appear in the first entry in the Dark Universe, The Mummy, hitting theaters next month.

Following The Mummy, the next movie of the Dark Universe is Bride of Frankenstein, which will be directed by Bill Condon (live-action Beauty and the Beast) and written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park). Bride of Frankenstein isn’t coming to theaters until February 14, 2019, but the actress portraying the titular bride will be revealed soon.

While we don’t know any additional details about the upcoming Dark Universe film slate, we do know that Russell Crowe’s Dr. Jekyll will help connect the movie’s together through Prodigium, Jekyll’s organization tasked with finding monsters.

This was a fun little reveal and cute photo, but there are still lots of questions we have about Dark Universe. Why are there only two movies planned? Why is Bride of Frankenstein not coming until 2019? When are we going to see Bardem and Depp? Is Tom Cruise actually playing Van Helsing and not just Tom Cruise?

Well hopefully some of those questions will be answered soon enough.

The Mummy hits theaters on June 9.
