The latest trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn reveals a world that is breathtakingly beautiful and harsh.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he wait for Guerilla’s “role playing game that plays like an action game” has been highly anticipated by fans and critics alike, and with good reason. Despite being revealed at E3 two years the studio has been relatively quiet regarding Horizon Zero Dawn. While many fans of the game are understandably frustrated with the long wait it appears that waiting another three months is definitely worth it. In the trailer below art director, Jan-Bart Van Beek discusses the depth of the game’s considerably different ecosystems and the games compelling weather.
“We’re known for our first-person shooters series, Killzone. Storytelling in an open world in an RPG is not something that we hadn’t done before. But I think all of us, we really welcome it as a wonderful opportunity to create something that’s so fresh, so new–it’s a wonderful challenge for us.”
From snow-capped mountains to dense jungles, from blistering deserts and evergreen forests, Horizon Zero Dawn boasts many different interactive environments that will dazzle fans and critics alike. The game has it’s very own day and night cycle which can impact the gameplay for the player and you can expect some surprises from the ever changing weather. This means completing objectives in the game won’t be as easy as moving from point a to point b. Howling snow storms will create difficulties for players if they intend to catch wild cyborgs/animals.
Horizon Zero Dawn will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Pro. If you end up purchasing the game for the PlayStation Pro Guerilla claims the game will have noticeably better graphics.
Horizon Zero Dawn will be available February 28, 2017.
