Looks like Final Fantasy fans will have to wait a little longer for Final Fantasy XV

The Square Enix team has officially announced that the release date for Final Fantasy XV, originally expected for September 30th, will now be pushed back to November 29th. The two month delay was decided based on some much needed updates the game would have received on the dreaded “day-one patch”. The game’s director, Hajime Tabata, did not believe it was fair to the players to release a game that would need some of the drastic changes that the game would have needed in the initial patch.

Tabata claimed in recent interviews that “[they] need a little more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this.” He also said that with the extra time the company will be fine tuning any kinks and add any “further polishing”. Tabata went on to apologize for the delays and he hopes that players understand that with great quality, comes some hard-work and time.

Players can expect Final Fantasy XV on November 29th.
