Earlier this morning, Sony finally confirmed what we were hoping- that God of War Ragnarok will release this year. Fortunately, we also only have a few months to wait when it releases on November 9.

Many fans were worried that delays would be announced but Sony made good on their promise that we would see it this year. What’s more, Sony also stated that pre-orders will begin on July 15 at 7:00a PST and revealed what some of those pre-order goodies will come with.

Any pre-order for Ragnarok will reward you with “Launch Edition” cosmetics as a bonus in the form of ‘Kratos Risen Snow Armor’ and ‘Atreus Risen Snow Tunic’ which you can see below:

So, what do you get for all the different editions the game will come in? Let us start with the least expensive in the Standard Edition.

Standard Edition: PS4 ($60) | PS5 ($70)

Depending on what platform you purchase the game on (PS4 or PS5), you will see a $10 difference with the PS5 being priced at $70 while the PS4 is cheaper at $60. If you purchase the PS4 version of the game, you can always upgrade later to the PS5 version for that extra $10.

Digital Deluxe Edition: PS4 ($$??) | PS5 ($$??)

The Digital Deluxe Edition has not revealed its price to us yet but we assume it will come with a significant price increase between $80 – $100. As for the bonuses you get with it, here is what you can expect to receive for that extra cash:

  • Full God of War Ragnarök game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
  • Kratos Darkdale Armor
  • Atreus Darkdale Attire (cosmetic)
  • Darkdale Blades Handles for the Blades of Chaos
  • Darkdale Axe Grip for the Leviathan Axe
  • Official God of War Ragnarök Digital Soundtrack
  • Dark Horse Digital Mini Artbook
  • Avatar Set
  • PlayStation 4 Theme

Collector’s Edition: PS4 ($$$??) | PS5 ($$$??)

As with the previous editions, we do not know the price as of yet for the Collector’s, which seems odd since we are under two weeks away from pre-orders. That said, as you can see in the image below, you will get some pretty radical bonuses and goodies here so you can expect that it will be quite pricey.

The God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition comes housed in a beautiful box representing the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine. This shrine was of the triptychs that Kratos and Atreus came across in God of War (2018), depicting the tale of a powerful seer, the Giant Sorceress called Gróa, who was the first to have a vision of Ragnarök.

  • Printed voucher code for the full God of War Ragnarök game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
  • A Steelbook Display Case (no game disc included) – The God of War Ragnarök Steelbook Display Case depicts renditions of the Bear and the Wolf.
  • 2” Vanir Twins Carvings – In the same style as Atreus’ wooden toy carvings of the Huldra Brothers from the God of War (2018) Collector’s Edition, the God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition completes the set with carvings of the Vanir Twins.
  • Dwarven Dice Set – This set comes with a set of dice with a quality wood-like finish in a dice bag with a symbol of Yggdrasil on the outside.
  • 16” Mjölnir Replica – A highly detailed replica of Thor’s signature weapon from God of War Ragnarök.
  • Kratos Darkdale Armor
  • Atreus Darkdale Attire (cosmetic)
  • Darkdale Blades Handles for the Blades of Chaos
  • Darkdale Axe Grip for the Leviathan Axe
  • Official God of War Ragnarök Digital Soundtrack
  • Dark Horse Digital Mini Artbook
  • Avatar Set
  • PlayStation 4 Theme

Jötnar Edition: PS4 ($$$$) | PS5 ($$$$)

Now for the coup de gras de la wallet, the most expensive edition of the bunch. This one is insane and will likely set you back quite a bit. We would be surprised if this edition cost less than $200 USD. Isn’t inflation a bitch? Anyway, here is what is inside as well as a photo of the contents below:
