Ghostwire: Tokyo is a title we have been looking forward to for a long time. The teasers led us to believe that the game is focused more on horror but we were explicitly told that isn’t the case. At least not exactly… However, if there is any indication that this game will make your skin crawl, this trailer is exactly it.

Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces, perpetrated by a dangerous occultist known as Hannya, causing Tokyo’s population to vanish in an instant. Ally with a powerful spectral entity on their quest for vengeance and master a powerful arsenal of abilities to unravel the dark truth behind the disappearance as you FACE THE UNKNOWN in Ghostwire: Tokyo.

During this week’s PlayStation Showcase we got a better look at gameplay footage that definitely made us feel like there will be some horrific and terrifying experiences. From ghouls with heads that peel all the way back from freaking Slenderman.

Seriously. This isn’t a horror game?! Are you freaking kidding me?!

Watch the trailer. If you are saying we are wrong about how scary this game could be then you are either lying to yourself or you had a seriously messed up childhood that led you to develop an uncommonly high tolerance to all things horror.

Ghostwire: Tokyo comes to PS5 consoles next spring.
