Each week, we plan on giving spotlight to one of our fellow geeks, giving them a chance to show off their most prized collections and their, well… geekiness!
This week, our geek is reader Tristan Nord! We had a look into what makes him a geek.
Brief summary of collection: My collection consists of collectible figurines, movie posters, statues, manga and comic books, a DVD collection, video games, as well as a large collection of Game Informer issues. I also have a large collection of trading cards that are slowly collecting dust.
Favorite thing in collection: My favorite item in my collection, without a doubt, is my signed Resurrection ‘F’ poster. It’s signed by Sean Schemmel, Christopher Sabat, Christopher Ayres and Justin Cook.
Favorite geek memory: Well, I have two favorite geek memories. Sneaking my Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon cards into elementary school and trading them, with friends, at lunch, and taking my sister to go and see Resurrection ‘F’ in theaters. It was just cool watching my favorite series as a child with my younger sister.
Favorite game: My favorite game has to be Gears of War. I’ve played it on insane difficulty at least 50 times, and it was the first game I had played, and beaten, with my dad. I can’t wait to buy the Ultimate edition.
Favorite movie: I have a few favorite movies, but my all time favorite has to be The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Every single time I watch them, they make my heart race. They were made so beautifully.
Favorite comic/comic book character: My favorite comic is the original Transformers comic. I was already in love with the animated television series, and when I figured out that it had a comic series, as well, I immediately bought every volume.
Favorite TV show: My favorite television show is definitely Dragon Ball Z. I have been in love with it since grade school. The humor, the action, the character development (especially with Piccolo and Vegeta) and the unique, interesting villains all made it the perfect show.
