Everybody’s favorite giant fire-breathing turtle is getting a well needed reboot in this epic new trailer.
[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]uring the Gamera 50th Anniversary panel at NYC Comic-Con, Kadokawa Pictures treated fans with a trailer for their upcoming movie, Gamera.
Now many may be thinking, who the heck is Gamera? During the giant monster film crazy in the 1960’s, Gamera took a backseat to Godzilla, whose franchise was much more successful. Gamera gained a large cult following and starred in 12 films, the latest being released in 2006. But now the giant turtle is back to open a can of whoop-ass on anything threatening Japan.
The trailer looks fantastic and still keeps the humor of the original movies. Need your son to run faster so he does not get eaten but an angry swarm of monsters? Offer him ramen and dumplings!
There is no set release date yet but since 2015 is the 50th anniversary of the character, we should expect to see Gamera out before the end of the year.
