A new report points to the Scarlett Speedster running around in the Dark Knight’s dreams.
The release date for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice rapidly approaches, and with it, even more details about the film’s expansive plot and cameos.
We know that future Justice League members like Wonder Woman and Aquaman will appear (briefly) in the film, but little is known about how the Flash (Ezra Miller) will factor into the story.
Well, Entertainment Weekly has some insight as to how Barry Allen will factor into Dawn of Justice‘s seemingly overcrowded story.
In this report, detailing how Dawn of Justice maps out the expanding DC cinematic universe, EW reveals that the Flash may not appear in the reality of the film, but rather just in a dream sequence.
The site explains that the film will have multiple dream sequences that foreshadow events and characters that will appear in future films, like Justice League Part One.
Specifically, Flash apparently appears in a “nightmare of Bruce Wayne’s” to deliver a cryptic warning about the future…
Hmm…Well we already know about a dream sequence featuring Batman (garbed in a trench coat-suit) being interrogated by Superman, and being subsequently attacked by mysterious creatures.
The scene below is speculated to be the beginning of said dream sequence.
Many have theorized these creatures are the minions of DC big baddie Darkseid, and additional photos featuring his signature Omega symbol solidify this.
So, will Flash appear during this specific sequence? Or is it another scene entirely?
Fans of CW’s The Flash know very well that the Scarlett Speedster often deals with time travel and parallel dimensions, so the possibilities of how this character truly appears in the film may indeed remain a mystery of a few more weeks.
Regardless, we’re intrigued to see Ezra Miller’s interpretation of the character, no matter how he factors into the film.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25.
