New details on the anthology film have emerged at the D23 Expo.
During the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Disney and Lucasfilm revealed the first photo for the upcoming Star Wars Anthology film, Rogue One, as well as details regarding the film’s cast. Check it out below!
The photo confirms rumors from early this summer that martial artist Donnie Yen will joining a Star Wars film, as well confirming other rumored actors like Diego Luna and Jiang Wen.
Also revealed at D23 were more actors cast in the film. They include Forest Whitaker (The Butler), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), Alan Tudyk (Firefly), and Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler).
Directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), Rogue One takes place before the events of A New Hope, and tells the story of a group of resistance fighter who band together to steal the plans for the Death Star.
Rogue One hits theaters on December 16, 2016.
