J.K. Rowling’s universe of magical spells and beasts will grow for the next 8 years.
[dropcap size=small]J[/dropcap]ust when you thought there couldn’t be any more good news regarding JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, new information regarding the franchise has been released. In a recent interview with David Heyman, the producer answered the question every Harry Potter fan was wondering, how long do we have to wait until we get a sequel?
“Every two years. Well, let’s see. Let’s hope people come to this one. If they come to this one we’ll make the next one. That’s quite an intense schedule every two years. So I’m hoping that it’ll be every two years, but if it bleeds into two and a half years so be it.”
But that isn’t the only good news that David Heyman released for us. It would appear that Warner Bros. plans on setting the ball in motion for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 right away. The company is planning to begin production on for the sequel come July/August of next year with a pre-arranged release date of November 16th, 2018.
Of course, this all relies on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to be a success at the box office. After all, this is the magical world of Harry Potter and who doesn’t want to learn more about the American version of Hogwarts?
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released in theaters on November 18th, 2016.
