A new Skyrim! Given how big Skyrim’s map ranges, is this even possible?!
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]his past year, we’ve seen games in the Elder Scrolls series create huge maps in their games, including Morrowwind, Oblivion, Skyrim and Skyrim: Online. There have been some mods created by fans over the years, but recently, a fan created a mod titled Enderal, which replicated Skyrim.
SureAI is at the center of Enderal‘s creation and has put a total of 29,908 hours into Enderal, which will be a complete conversion of Skyrim, including it’s own story plot, characters and mechanics. Enderal was created with Skyrim‘s modding tools, so players will feel like they are playing Skyrim, except they won’t be.
“In Enderal, we have attempted to combine open world gaming with a complex and profound storyline,” says the SureAI team, explaining how the game distinguishes itself from Skyrim. “While the game world of Enderal is smaller than Skyrim’s and the quests are fewer, we believe that the depth of our story and the complexity of our characters both surpass those in recent Elder Scrolls games.”
The game has been released, but only in German with English subtitles, but an English version will be available “in the coming weeks.”
