DC Comic Artist, Tyler Kirkham, designed an Elder Scrolls themed basement with a price tag of $50,000.

The Elder Scrolls games have become a vastly successful set of action role-playing fantasy video games since the initial release of Elder Scrolls: Arena in 1999. Elder Scrolls took a bit of a hiatus after Elder Scrolls IV until the release of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2011. Since then, the popularity of the game has skyrocketed once again. However, one fan took the level of fandom to new extremes.

DC Comic artist, Tyler Kirkham allotted an estimated $50,000 to renovate his basement into a full-fledged Elder Scrolls man cave. The home in Kaysville, Utah possesses an Elder Scrolls tribute that is reported to be a whopping 1,500 square feet. An immediate follow up question to this renovation is: what would his spouse think? Sources say, his wife, Jill, a real estate agent, was on board with the basement renovation from the start.

The basement is said to sport medieval weapons, stone masonry work, a book case trapdoor, a waterfall converted into a shower, a $20,000 theatre, and a number of other Elder Scrolls themed pieces (some of the features imaged below). This has been in the works for a few years now, and Kirkham still has plans to do more to his fantasy-themed basement.

Kirkham and his brother frequently utilize the basement to continue to play the Elder Scrolls series together. Friends and neighbors from all around come to admire the basement as well. Kirkham’s one year-old son even has a designated play area in the basement and Kirkham hopes that one day his son will come to appreciate the game series as much as his father.
