The rarest of the rare will be available for free starting this February.
2016 is a big year for Pokémon, as the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary.
One way Nintendo and the Pokémon Company are celebrating is by offering a Mythical Pokémon to download for free every month starting this February.
Mythical Pokémon are a subset of Legendary Pokémon that cannot be normally encountered in the games. They are not required to complete the Pokédex, but they’re awesome nonetheless.
These Pokémon can only be downloaded by receiving a download code from Gamestop, or online through the Nintendo Network. They will be available for Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire on the 3DS. Sorry to all those still playing on the Gameboy Color.
Check out the release schedule for the Mythical Pokémon below. *
