You get a Star Wars film! You get a Star Wars film! Everybody gets a Star Wars film!
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hether you like it or not Star Wars is going to be around for a long, long time. With Star Wars: Rogue One out in theaters in less than three months and two more Star Wars films that will complete the third trilogy the entertainment behemoth Disney shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Keeping that in mind it would appear that Disney is also a fan of anthology films and Disney chief executive Bog Iger has given the green light for another Star Wars anthology film that will be released in 2020.
While Bob Iger did admit that Disney doesn’t expect Star Wars: Rogue One to make as much money at the box office as Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he did say that “the level of interest [in Rogue One] is as high as it was for Force Awakens”, and after Disney reviewed some of the film they love what they’ve seen. Star Wars: Rogue One surely won’t surpass $1 billion but from what we’ve seen from the trailers thus far, it seems that the first anthology film could be a blockbuster hit.
