[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]rom Toy Story in 1995 to last year’s Monsters University, Disney•Pixar films has been able to make audiences feel a gamut of emotions for nearly two decades. The partnership has produced some of the most financially successful animated films of all time to (mostly) critical acclaim (I’m looking at you, Cars 2).
Now Disney•Pixar has released the teaser trailer for its next film, Inside Out, which focuses on a young girl named Riley adjusting to a whole new life after moving from the Midwest to San Francisco and how her emotions conflict in the process. Check it out below.
Of course they included the clip from Up with Carl looking at his photo album next to Ellie’s empty chair. If that’s not sadness, I don’t know what is. But back to Inside Out!
Riley’s emotions are brought to life by an outstanding comedic cast including Amy Poehler (Joy), Bill Hader (Fear), Mindy Kaling (Disgust), Lewis Black (Anger), and Phyllis Smith (Sadness). Oscar-winning director Pete Docter previously directed Up and Monsters Inc., and his third go-around with Disney•Pixar looks to be another imaginative adventure for all audiences.
Inside Out hits theaters on June 19, 2015.
