The Taken King, a possible upcoming expansion pack for Destiny, has been spotted as promotional material on a box of Red Bull.
[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]aughty Dog isn’t the only company that has suffered from an accidental leak. Bungie, the famous company that produced the early Halo games and the incredibly popular game Destiny, has also suffered from an accidental leak that involves their latest expansion for Destiny.
A major fan of the game, who goes by the name of Agrios Endendros on Twitter, tweeted a photo that included boxes of the energy drink Red Bull that were branded with the Destiny name and logo, along with The Taken King.
There are many theories about what The Taken King could possibly be. Most people, myself included, believe that The Taken King is Destiny 1.5. A very large expansion pack that will bridge the gap between Destiny and a planned sequel that is supposed to be released some time in 2016.
The Taken King is rumored to include a whole new planet, brand new missions that follow the main story, four new strikes, new multiplayer maps, and a raid. This would make The Taken King one of the largest, if not the largest, expansion pack released by Bungie thus far. Of course, the expansion won’t be as cheap as it’s previous expansions.
The price of the expansion pack is rumored to be $60 or slightly less. The only question is, would The Taken King be worth the possible price? We’ll have to wait and see what Bungie will be showing off at E3 this month.
