My somewhat of a hiatus is finally over and you all get the joy of my writing once again.
We are straight back into it with the news that the live action Pokemon film has finally found its lead!
Justice Smith will star in Legendary’s feature based on the mystery-solving Detective Pikachu character.
In fact, the film itself will be called Detective Pikachu and is set to be the first in a series which will be based on the popular Pokemon franchise.
Set to be directed by Goosebumps’, Rob Letterman with a script by Guardians of the Galaxy writer Nicole Perlman.
The Detective Pikachu movie has been a priority for Legendary since the company first acquired the rights to the Japanese property in July 2016, following the Pokemon Go mobile game craze.
Currently still in the pre-production stage, we have no set dates or timeframes around any release dates but stick with us and we no doubt will update you as the news happens.
