Dragon Ball returns to Toonami very soon!
It looks like the English dub of Dragon Ball Super is moving forward a lot faster than we thought.
FUNimation has revealed that the first season of the highly anticipated series will air on the Toonami block of Adult Swim starting January 7, 2017 at 8 pm and 11:30 pm ET. Season one is 26 episodes long and features the the Battle of Gods and Resurrection ‘F’ story arcs, retelling of the films of the same names. New episodes will air each Saturday.
“Toonami and the Dragon Ball franchise have a long and storied history together in the U.S. We are thrilled to be premiering “Dragon Ball Super” to our audience and keeping Dragon Ball on Toonami!”
–Jason DeMarco, senior vice president of on-air for Adult Swim.
This news comes hot off the heels of last week’s reveal of English cast, which includes a number of returning voices, like Sean Schemmel as Goku and Chris Sabat as Vegeta.

Some of our greatest childhood memories are getting home from school and watching DBZ on Toonami, so we’re pumped the franchise is returning to the same channel. Plus we only have to wait a month, so get excited!
