Will this movie have any surprises?
Empire Magazine has released new photos from the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Most intriguing (or disparaging) is this photo below…
Undoubtedly, Batman is gazing at the Omega symbol, the sign of Darkseid.
We have speculated that Darkseid would appear in the film after director Zack Snyder teased a bigger threat than Doomsday that the Justice League would face.
Darkseid is a God that rules the hell-like planet Apokolips. He is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe, and a constant foe to the Justice League in the comics. Think DC equivalent to Thanos.
This news seemingly also confirms how a specific sequence of the film will play out:
The photo above features Batman in his weird trench coat-batsuit, and in a post-apocalyptic desert setting. From footage in the trailers, we know during this sequence Batman is apprehended by Superman, and an army he appears to be commanding. This sequence seems to climax with demonic like creatures attacking.

With Darkseid’s appearance all but confirmed, we now know with some certainty that these creatures are Parademons, Darkseid’s personal soldiers from Apokolips.
Additionally, a Batman figure showcased at Comic-Con in his desert apparel called “Knightmare Batman,” and confirmation that a dream sequence will be in the film, all signs point to the Omega symbol photo, and this sequence as a whole, being some sort of nightmare Bruce Wayne has; a vision of Darkseid’s arrival.
This is all speculation, but unfortunately, it probably won’t be long before this is confirmed as factual.
Nearly every little detail about this film has been spoiled for us through official means. Doomsday was revealed in latest trailer, we’ve seen Wonder Woman, and now, this photo from a magazine.
We understand that Warner Bros. is trying to jumpstart the DC Cinematic Universe as fast as possible, but we would also like some surprises here and there.
Are we excited for Batman v Superman? Yes.
Do we feel like we know everything about the movie two months ahead of its release? Yes.
Should DC and Warner Bros. keep quiet until March? Please.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25.
