Star Wars Celebration kicked off earlier today in London and from now through April 10th, we can expect a handful of projects taking place in a galaxy far, far away to be teased and revealed. One such project to be confirmed was a new Star Wars movie starring Daisy Ridley, who will return as Rey Skywalker in at least one new film.
Kathleen Kennedy, the now president of Lucasfilm, announced that three movies were actively in the works including the one starring Ridley. Another of the three, “Dawn of the Jedi“, a film about an earlier era of the Jedi, will be directed by James Mangold (Logan, Ford v Ferrari).
The third film, which will be directed by Dave Filoni, is said to look into the new republic era which will weave in and out of the Disney+ shows he has worked on such as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka. So basically, his movie is going to suck.
No release window has been specified on any of these three confirmed films.
