The worst part? Conker wasn’t even the main character.
[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]ew details have surfaced in a video regarding Rare’s unreleased game Conker: Getin’ Medieval. The game wasn’t necessarily a sequel to Conker’s Bad Fur Day or Conker: Live and Reloaded. Instead the game was a multiplayer idea that would allow players to fight one another through a series of levels that differed from one another.
Chris Seavor, a designer at the company Rare, was the mastermind behind the project that was unfortunately never completed. He envisioned a game mode where you played “completely online, and it was a bunch of levels that chained and you could come in with your mates and fight other people… In Getin’ Medieval we added medieval war, so it was siege warfare as well.”
As mentioned earlier, Conker wasn’t even the main character for Gettin’ Medieval. He would have been nothing more than a side character that would pop up for old times’ sake.
“The whole thing that held it together was Death. Death was going to be the main character,” explained Chris Seavor. “Now Conker would have a guest appearance, but really it wasn’t about him, it was the world of Conker.”
