We have known for a while now that the primary cast of the original Star Wars Trilogy trilogy (Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew) were back for J.J. Abrams installment of series. What we did not know was who would be added to the cast, though rumors suggested many major Hollywood names like Benedict Cumberbatch and Gary Oldman were being freely tossed about. Other rumors suggested a much younger group of actors who would depicted as the Skywalker and Solo children. While we still do not know exactly who is playing what, we do now have a lineup of actors who will be on screen in some fashion or another. Some names you may not have heard of like John Boyega, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley join up with other perhaps well known actors like Domnhall Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, About Time), Andy Serkis (the guy who played Gollum in LoTR), and Max Von Sydow (we are going to assume he’ll be playing a Sith Lord).
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make fans proud”
