Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones will still be a hockey stick-wielding vigilante, but his background will be different according to Stephen Amell.

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he Casey Jones that we all know and love will be different in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, according to Stephen Amell in his recent interview with IGN. He will still wear a hockey mask and will be fighting crime using an abundance of sports-related items, but his background will be much different from what most fans of the goofy-vigilante are used to.
In his interview with IGN, Stephen Amell said:
“It’s certainly not your father’s or your younger self’s Casey Jones, but that’s because we meet him at a very different time in his development,” Amell said. “He is not the Casey Jones that a lot of comic fans have come to know and love. He is a guy with a job that lives in New York and loves hockey. When things go awry, [and] when he goes through the normal methods of what someone would do when they’re [a] law-abiding citizen and he’s met with laughter and scorn… he decides to take things into his own hands.”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will be in theaters June 3rd, 2016.
