Will Black Mask take on Harley, Selena, and Ivy? Sure why not, I don’t care.
Amidst the swirling black hole best known as upcoming DCEU film slate is Gotham City Sirens. This film is confirmed to star Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn, and will be directed by David Ayer, who worked on The Academy Award Winning Motion Picture Suicide Squad.
Ayer recently tweeted out a picture of the Batman foe Black Mask, as he appeared in the Under the Red Hood comic storyline.

While still very early in preproduction, Ayer may be hinting that Black Mask will be the main villain of Gotham City Sirens.
Black Mask, aka Roman Sionis, is a Gotham City crime lord born to a wealthy, affluent family. Roman despised his parents, killed them, and took his father’s business, only to run it into the ground. Bruce Wayne offered to bail out the Sionis business, but only if the unhinged Roman steps down. Furious, Roman carves a mask from his father’s ebony casket and takes the name Black Mask and becomes a notorious and frequent foe of the Dark Knight.
Outside of the comics, Black Mask is best known for this roles in animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood, and the game Batman: Arkham Origins.
Gotham City Sirens was originally a comic series that follows three of Batman’s most popular female foes, specifically Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy. Together, the gals pull off big heists while avoiding mean old Brucey boy. We don’t know any additional details about the film adaptation, other than Ayer and Robbie’s involvement.
It would definelty be cool to see a live-action Black Mask, but as with any speculation about DCEU films, don’t believe it until it actually happens.
Then again, Suicide Squad won an Oscar, SO ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
