After over a decade, Bad Santa is returning to the big screen!
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]lthough he will not be here for the 2015 holidays, Willie Soke will be around to cheer you up for the 2016 holidays.
Billy Bob Thornton will return to his role as Willie Soke, while Geyer Kosinski will be the main producer. Miramax has partnered up with Broad Green Pictures to co-finance and co-produce the movie. Broad Green will also be in charge of distribution in the US during the 2016 holidays.
“We’ve been waiting far too long to see Billy Bob’s Willie Soke mess with the holiday season in his own unique way,” said Zanne Devine of Miramax.
David Thwaites will oversee the movie project for Miramax and Victor Moyles will have the same role with Broad Green Pictures.
The 2003 original grossed $60 million domestically, while on a budget of $23 million. Sierra/Affinity will handle the foreign sales and sales with the American Film Market.
Production will begin this January in Montreal!
