It looks like Sora, Goofy, and Donald are headed to San Fransokyo.
Yesterday at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA, it was confirmed that Big Hero 6 will be featured as a world in Kingdom Hearts 3.
A trailer featuring film producer Roy Conli (below), shares that Sora and company will visit San Fransokyo after the events of the film, meaning the titular team will already be established crime fighters in the game.
Also revealed were story details for new world, specifically that (SPOILERS for Big Hero 6!) the old body of Baymax that was left behind in a portal during the climax of the film will be manipulated by darkness. If that isn’t the most Kingdom Hearts thing I’ve ever heard, I don’t know what is.
Concept art of these details have also surfaced, seemingly confirming that Sora will ride Baymax as well. The hype meter just crossed 11, people.
Big Hero 6 joins Tangled and Hercules as confirmed Disney worlds for the highly anticipated game. Is a Frozen world announcement next? Probably. Guardians of the Galaxy? A man can dream.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is the latest (numbered) sequel in the massively popular Disney/Square Enix crossover game series. While we still do not have a release date, keep your fingers crossed that this news is an indication we’ll be seeing more of the game soon.
