‘Batman v Superman’ to earn less for Warner Bros than ‘Man of Steel’

Even with an additional veteran actor Batman v Superman fails to put up Avengers: Age of Ultron numbers.

[dropcap size=small]L[/dropcap]ast week Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stayed number one at the box office for the third week in a row. But yet despite this the film still won’t surpass 2013’s Man of Steel in earnings at the box office here in the United States and worldwide, further proving that the film was an abysmal disappointment and could have been much better.

Even though many box office film analysts believing that the film won’t surpass $1 billion in total from box office, international box office, home video, TV, and merchandise proceeds it appears that the executives at Warner Bros. were very satisfied with the film’s performance and have since announced two more DC films for the future. It is quite clear that Warner Bros. has a lot riding on these DC films since the studio has a list of DC films slated to be released between now, 2020, and possibly even further. If one thing is certain, it’s that the next upcoming DC films will need a better director and script if they want to draw in the same amount of money as previous Marvel blockbuster films.
