People just could not get enough of the merc with a mouth!
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]orrentfreak recently reported that Deadpool was the most illegally downloaded film of 2016. It beat out other top superhero films Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which also made the list.
Deadpool had a great 2016 with it’s box office success and two Golden Globe nominations while also earning a larger budget for the sequel. Being the most pirated film also shows the massive following that Deadpool has. Some other top movies, The Secret Life of Pets and The Jungle Book, were left off of the list even though they were box office hits.
This shows the excitement about the film and how invested fans are into the character and story. Let’s hope that Deadpool 2 will be able to capture the same kinds of emotions as the first!
