Just like Batman v Superman, the Batman solo film aims to shove as many characters as possible down your throat in one single movie. Excited?
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ccording to Birth. Movies. Death.‘s sources the Batman solo film starring Ben Affleck is going to be big, and by big we mean the majority of villains that Batman is pitted against in the comics are going to make an appearance in the film. It would seem that one major villain who is slowly introduced in an epic way isn’t good enough for Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns. You know, like Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy did?
This means villains like The Joker, Harley Quinn, Jason Todd, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Bane, The Riddler, etc might make an appearance in the film. Everyone, that is, except for the Red Hood. There could be several reasons why Ben Affleck and Geoff John are avoiding introducing the Red Hood in their film, mainly because it would remind viewers of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier which was just in theaters over two years ago.
All things considered, Ben Affleck has a really talented writer working alongside him. Geoff Johns, who is widely known in the DC Comics community for breathing new life into old superheroes like Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Shazam, has plenty of knowledge about all things DC and Batman. Hopefully having Geoff Johns co-writing the script will make the film worth seeing and Geoff Johns will share his knowledge of the DC Universe with Ben Affleck. Whatever happens one thing is certain, no one wants another Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
