[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]n Attack on Titan video game could soon be making its way to the West.

Attack on Titan, began as a manga, and was then developed into a popular anime series (currently streaming on Netflix). Several video game adaptations have been released in Japan, but as of yet been unavailable in Western markets. That may soon change.

A posting on the Australian Classification Board reveals a rating for a game titled “Attack on Titan”. It was given a MA15+ rating for moderate impact themes, strong impact violence, and mild impact nudity. The listing shows that the classification was submitted by Spike Chunsoft, with the publisher listed on the entry as Atlus USA, and applies to “multiple platforms.”

Spike Chunsoft released the 3DS game Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind in December of last year. The game was initially launched in Japan, but it was widely known that Spike Chunsoft was seeking a publisher to bring the game to Western audiences.

Attack on Titan follows Eren Jaeger & the Scout Regiment as they hunt and destroy the mysterious and deadly titans.

While the post on the Australian Classification Board lists the game version as “original”, it is unclear if the game will be the 3DS title, or the enhanced remake version Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind Chain, which is being released in Japan later this year. A more unlikely explanation is that it could be a brand new game altogether.

Atlus has yet to make an official announcement on their involvement in bringing an Attack on Titan game to the West.
