The God of Pokemon!
Finally some Pokemon news that isn’t Pokemon Go related. If you’ve been keeping up with the 20th Anniversary Distribution Event then you’ll be happy to hear that for the month of August you will be able to get your hands on Arceus, God of Pokemon. The event is for players of Pokemon X and Y or Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, for the last several months players have been able to get different Pokemon, the first of which was Mew in February.
Pokemon sure got weirder looking over the years…
North American Players can go to their local GameStop (EB Games in Canada) to receive their free codes, no purchase required. However, there are reports that players can call Nintendo Customer Service and provide them with your Network ID and they were able to receive their codes over the phone. Once you do have a code, input it into your Pokémon X and Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire by choosing the “Mystery Gift” tab at the start of the game. GameStop codes will be redeemable until November 30th but locations will have limited quantities of codes through the month of August.
Arceus will not learn new moves upon leveling up. The God of Pokemon will be distributed at level 100 equipped with the moves; Judgment, Recover, Hyper Beam and Perish Song.
The event continues every month this year with a new Mythical Pokemon each month.
