[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]ragon Ball Z fans are in for quite a treat, as the Anime News Network is reporting details of yet another DBZ Film set to hit theaters in 2015. Details of the film are scarce, for the most part, but what we do know now is that the film is allegedly set to hit the big screen on April 25, 2015 with a set run time of 120 minutes. The report suggests that the 120 minute length of the film could in fact just be a place holder until a more accurate time stamp is available, though if it turns out to be true, this could be the longest running movie the franchise has ever seen.
We reported the initial announcement of the untitled Dragon Ball film back in July, following the 2013 film, Battle of Gods, a continuation of the acclaimed series featuring new characters such as the God of Destruction and his “assistant”, as well as the introduction of a new Super Saiyan transformation referred to as “Super Saiyan God” (red hair).

The New DBZ film will feature all-new character designs and a screenplay by the creator of the series, Akira Toriyama. Todayoshi Yamamuro will direct the untitled film.
*It should be noted that these details pertain to the Japanese release, though if the film is successful like last year’s Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, we will likely see FUNimation’s handy work on an English dub within 8 months of the original release.
Can’t wait.
