What happens when a demi-human and priest have a one night stand? Fans will find out later this year following news today that the upcoming short form anime I’m Dating a Dark Summoner will stream on HIDIVE coming this October. I’m Dating a Dark Summoner is an adaptation of the popular fantasy rom-com manga created by Shaoh and will simulcast exclusively on the fast-growing anime stream service from AMC Global Media.
The series will premiere during HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 simulcast season and be available to all subscribers throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as in key overseas markets including the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

A romantic comedy about a bickering couple: Amona, a dark summoner and demi-human girl who’s too weak to resist her desires, and Roni, an overly serious priest! Roni welcomes Aruni as a new member to his adventuring party. Everyone expected the two would clash and become sworn enemies. But, to their surprise and on their first day together, they have a one-night stand…!
Based on the now seven-volume manga series written and illustrated by Shaoh that launched in 2021 and is published by KADOKAWA in print under Dragon Comics Age and serialized digitally under Dra Dra Sharp# through Kadokomi and Niconico. I’m Dating a Dark Summoner” will be released as a short form anime series and is directed and written (series composition) by Seiya Miyajima together with character design by Takahiro Sasaki and production by WWWave Corporation’s Deregula animation studio. The series’ cast stars Takano as Amona, Yuki Nishiyama as Roni and Senmai from Hoden-tei as Imp.
