As one of the many exciting announcements at this year’s Game Awards, Elden Ring has revealed an exciting new trailer to show off Nightreign, a brand new co-op gameplay experience set in the same universe as the story we have all come to know, love, and fear.

Developed by FromSoftware, Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN is an upcoming co-op multiplayer PvE game set in a harsh and unforgiving world. Players will team up in squads of three or dare to venture solo as they strive to survive a three-day-and-night cycle. Throughout each cycle, they will make split-second decisions regarding combat and exploration across dynamic, evolving maps, all in an effort to grow strong enough to defeat terrifying bosses at the end of each day.
Launching in 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN presents a multiplayer-focused return to Roundtable Hold, set in a parallel universe to the events of ELDEN RING. Players can choose from eight unique characters, each featuring distinct abilities and powerful Ultimates. Their journeys take them to the treacherous land of Limveld, where the encroaching Night’s Tide will shrink the map with each passing cycle, forcing them to strategize and adapt on the fly.
At the end of every night, players will face a formidable boss. If victorious, they will awaken to even greater challenges. The ultimate trial arrives on the third night when players must confront the chosen Nightlord. While solo play is possible, cooperation will be key to success, as players combine their abilities to tackle overwhelming odds in a unique and immersive experience within the ELDEN RING universe.
Defeat does not mean the end. Players who fall will be rewarded with relics to customize and upgrade their characters according to their preferred playstyle. ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN offers a condensed action RPG experience like no other, where each session is distinct thanks to ever-shifting enemies, rewards, and the evolving landscape of Limveld. Venturing into more dangerous parts of the map and defeating powerful foes will unlock stronger weapons and greater Rune rewards.
Sites of Grace provide critical opportunities for heroes to level up and gain strength, with every session feeling akin to exploring an open-air dungeon. Each adventure offers players the chance to grow lasting stat bonuses, bringing them closer to defeating the Nightlord and unraveling the hidden stories of each hero within this parallel world.
