In an interview with Ladies First with Laura Brown podcast, actress Michelle Pfeiffer confirmed she would be returning to reprise her role as Janet Van Dyne in the upcoming Ant-Man 3 film. Michelle Pfeiffer’s character was briefly touched on in Ant-Man before finally appearing in Ant-Man 2 where she returned from the Quantum Realm with some crazy but unexplained powers.
“I’m supposed to do Ant-Man, the third one,” the actress said when asked about upcoming projects.
The actress went on to reveal production would begin in spring of 2021 which likely means a release date in 2022 is entirely possible. As for details on her character and what she’ll be doing Michele Pfeiffer responded with a simple, “I don’t know”.
The latest rumors for Marvel’s Phase 4 plan point towards the introduction of the Young Avengers and it wouldn’t be surprising for Ant-Man 3 to be the film to either introduce or set this up.
