Xbox fans can finally experience the full (and amazingly confusing) story of the Kingdom Hearts series. Announced during the X019 Xbox Event in London, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will release on Xbox One in 2020.
Both titles are remastered collections of every title in the Kingdom Hearts series before KH3. 1.5+2.5 compiles Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, the cutscenes of 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and the cutscenes of Re:Coded. 2.8 compiles an HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance, the cinematic Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, and the epilogue Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage. If you’re confused please email me and I will explain all of this in horrific detail.
This marks the first time the entire Kingdom Hearts series is playable on Xbox, as up until now only Kingdom Hearts 3 is available on Xbox One; surely confusing first-timers to the franchise.
If you’ve never played a #KingdomHearts game before, want to play some titles you missed out on, or relive the magical experiences once again then look no further!

Both titles will also be available for Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s subscription game service where players can download Xbox games from a vast library of titles that span all three iterations of the console.
If you’ve never played this series before and you’re an Xbox gamer, this is, of course, an awesome opportunity to experience the entire Kingdom Hearts saga. Plus, games like 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage may benefit from better performance thanks to Xbox One X.
