…with Rathtars!!! Remember those!?!
We love Darth Maul. He was the best part of The Phantom Menace (and maybe all of the prequels), he looks like the devil, and we’re pretty sure he’s got like robot spider-legs and is still alive somewhere.
Anyway, there’s a new Darth Maul comic series from Marvel that focuses on what the titular villain was up to before the events of Episode I. As a fun easter egg of sorts to fans, in the first issue of this series, we see Maul fighting a bunch of Rathtars.
You know…Rathtars! Those goofy roly poly CGI things in Episode VII?
What Han and Chewbacca were smuggling?
They almost ate Finn?

Ok, yeah, not super exciting, but this was a cool nod, and we’re excited to see where this series goes.
