In addition to new Pokemon, your Pokemon can get stronger even if they’re level 100.
[dropcap size=small]P[/dropcap]okemon GO may be all the hype right now but that doesn’t mean it is the end of all Pokemon games for handheld consoles like the Nintendo 3DS. Yesterday, The Pokemon Company announced six new and interesting Pokemon for Pokemon Sun and Moon. Check out the trailer below to see what they’re like!
As mentioned earlier, Pokemon Sun and Moon will give Pokemon trainers the ability to empower their Pokemon even further once they’ve hit the level cap. Originally, player’s Pokemon stopped becoming stronger once they reached the level 100 which is the level cap. Level 100 is still the level cap in Pokemon Sun and Moon but now players can increase their Pokemon’s power if they run into a man named Mr. Hyper.
“Hyper training is done by Mr. Hyper, a new character who can be found somewhere in the Alola region. By using Bottle Caps, a new item which is obtainable in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, players will be able to carry out Hyper Training on their Pokemon.”
The function Global Link, which first appeared in Pokemon Black and White, was a program that allowed players to enter the Pokemon Dream World and catch Pokemon that was not catch-able in Unova. Global Link eventually evolved into a program that allowed players to not only catch Pokemon but also gave them the ability to battle players from all over the world. According to The Pokemon Company, Global Link access will be terminated for Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon Omega Ruby, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for use in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Players will also be given the option to take part in Friendly Competitions that have Online Competitions and Live Competitions. Online Competitions allow players to battle other players all over the world whereas Friendly Competitions allow players to battle other players that are in the same space.
Pokemon Sun and Moon will hit stores in the United States on November 18th and November 23rd in the United Kingdom.
