[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]ince 2000, Digimon has been absent from North America, only being shown in Japan. With the announcement of the new series, Digimon Adventure Tri, it also includes bringing the series back to North America!
Digimon Adventure Tri- Chapter One will not only will it be shown here, but 300+ movie theaters across the country will be showing it on September 15. Eleven Arts CEO Ko Mori announced the news on Thursday:
“We are extremely proud to announce our first time partnership with Toei Animation. We have been huge fans of Toei and the Digimon series for years, and are thrilled to participate in the release of this true hallmark of Japanese Anime. We cannot wait to share a theatrical experience that will be sure to satisfy audiences across North America,”
The main story will feature Tai in his high school years six years after Tai crossed over after the war. The war may have ended, but eventually, the gates opening (again) to the digital world were inevitable.
