[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t’s what we’ve all asked for after having such a fantastic second season of Marvel’s Daredevil. Slightly less so than a confirmed third season, but hey, we’ll take what we can get.
Entertainment Weekly shared with the world today that Marvel has officially ordered a spin-off series featuring the deadly vigilante Punisher. Jon Bernthal will return as the “hero” to bring his own form of justice to Hell’s Kitchen.
This new series marks the sixth collaboration between Netflix and Marvel, including the upcoming projects of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. It’d be amazing to see Punisher have some kind of role or cameo in The Defenders series, but that isn’t clear yet. We hope he’d at least make some kind of an appearance. It is his city, too.
Netflix and Marvel are expected to publicly announce the project today. For now, all we can give you is this teaser!
