Its always a good day for some Die Hard news
It has been revealed by Len Wiseman, director for the Die Hard prequel, that Bruce Willis will have a larger role than was lead to believe. It sounds like they’re planning to have Bruce Willis’ character, John McClane, to appear in the present day and go back and fourth to 1979 New Years Eve.
Wiseman wants to explore the relationship between McClane and his ex-wife Holly, and give more of a look into the years McClane spent as a cop in New York City before he became the badass detective we’ve come to love. Wiseman had this to say:
“It’s really working into the plot, with the ’70s having ramifications on present day Bruce. It intercuts in a very fun, imaginative way with the present-day John McClane.”
Willis is coming back for the film, although they have yet to start casting for the role of a young McClane. Die Hard: Year One will be the sixth film in the Die Hard series.
