A new challenger approaches.
One of the most popular and iconic first generation Pokémon has joined the roster for Pokkén Tournament.
Mewtwo will appear in the upcoming Wii U fighting game, but in a new form: Shadow Mewtwo.
Check out Shadow Mewtwo’s introduction trailer below.
Not much is known about Shadow Mewtwo, other than it looks very similar to Mega-Mewtwo from Pokémon X.
Could Shadow Mewtwo be connected to the Shadow Pokémon from Pokémon Coliseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness?
Maybe, but did anyone play those games? Let us know if you did.
Anyway, assuming Shadow Mewtwo is playable, it joins Lucario, Charizard, Machamp, Gardevoir, Suicune, Weavile, Gengar, Blaziken, Pikachu, and the adorable Pikachu Libre in this anticipated fighting game.
Pokkén Tournament is currently only available to play at arcades in Japan, but it will come to the Wii U sometime next year.
Till then, check out this gameplay featuring Shadow Mewtwo captured from a Pokkén Tournament arcade cabinet.
