Negotiations are ongoing as all of the original cast members would return to their original roles, if it returns!
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]fter picking up all seven season of Gilmore Girls last year, Netflix is in negotiations to continue the series, according to TV Line.
The show would include most of the original cast, starring Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, and Scott Peterson (unfortunately, Melissa McCarthy would not return as Sookie.) The show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, would be the writer of the show.
To honor the 15th anniversary of the show, the cast met up at the ATX Television Festival earlier this year. The plan is to have four episodes/mini-movies to last 90 minutes that will include the conclusion that Sherman-Palladino always wanted to write.
TV Line also reports that the story will take place eight years after the season finale and will be set in present day. Rory’s exes will be involved, hoping that each of the four teams, #TeamDean, #TeamJess and #TeamLogan, will all have their moments in the four episodes if Sherman-Palladino and Netflix can get most of the original actors on board.
