The beta will feature two game modes, Walker Assault on Hoth and Survival Mission on Tatooine.
[dropcap size=small]B[/dropcap]ack in April at the Star Wars Celebration EA showed off Star Wars Battlefront and the audience erupted into a thunderous round of applause. Shortly after, fans began asking/requesting EA if there would be a closed Beta released. Thankfully EA has obliged to these request, announcing two days ago that a Star Wars Battlefront beta will arrive in early October for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Origins for PC.
The beta is a technical test and will include two distinct game modes, Walker Assault on Hoth and Survival Mission on Tatooine. Walker Assault on Hoth will be a multiplayer battle with a total of forty players, pitting the Rebels against the Empire. Of course two of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe will be playable, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. In Survival Mode on Tatooine you and a rebel friend will face off against countless waves of Imperial troops.
Also available during the beta is Base Command, a strategic card game that lets you earn in-game credits that give you the ability to unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront. The strategic card game is available through the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience and it is here that Rebel players and Imperial players will be able to check their game stats and progression, while also customizing load-outs and appearance. You’ll be able to connect with your friends, and get notified when they’re playing Star Wars Battlefront – as well as gather intel on their stats and progression so you can see how you compare to them.
The Star Wars Battlefront Beta will be available early in October and is now available for pre-order. Star Wars Companion is available on the web, as well as Google Play and the Apple App Store.
