Now that cancellation announcements have been made, the only question that remains is what kind of shows will be coming this fall? Let’s take a look.
There are a wide variety of shows that will be premiering this Fall and they all have different genres. There are some dramas, some comedies, and plenty of movie-based tv shows! If you’re favorite show just got cancelled, or you spent the last three days on your couch watching all ten seasons of How I Met Your Mother, than we have the perfect list of shows for you. Based on a documentary, Code Black is a medical drama set in the most notorious ER in the nation. Here the staff works with limited time and resources to save lives. Marcia Gay Harden, Bonnie Somerville, Raza Jaffrey and Luis Guzman will star in this medical themed drama.

Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
The latest Criminal Minds spin-off focuses on a division of the FBI that helps American citizens who find themselves in danger abroad. Criminal Minds show-runner Erica Messer is executive-producing and Gary Sinise, Daniel Henney and Tyler James Williams star.

Life in Pieces
Written by Better Off Ted’s Justin Adler, this comedy explores one family through the separate stories of its different family members. Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski and Betsy Brandt make up the ensemble cast.

Limitless
Based on the 2011 film of the same name, this drama stars Jake McDorman as Brian Sinclair, who, after discovering the power of the mysterious drug NZT, is coerced into using his new abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI. It is rumored that Bradley Cooper will be making an appearance in the show as well.

Rush Hour
Another show that is based on a popular film Rush Hour is based on the Chris Tucker-Jackie Chan film trilogy, the drama features a stoic, by-the-book Hong Kong police officer (Jon Foo) who is forced to work with a cocky African-American LAPD officer (Justin Hires). Cougar Town‘s Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick will executive-produce the series, which also stars Aimee Garcia and Wendie Malick.

Supergirl
Melissa Benoist stars as Kara Zor-El, who escaped her home planet Krypton during its destruction. After hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin Superman, she finally decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be a hero. Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash) is executive-producing, and Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and David Harewood also star.

The Catch
Mirielle Enos stars as Alice Martin, a fraud investigator who becomes the victim of, you guessed it, fraud! She has to find her ex-fiance before he frames her and destroys her career. Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers are among the executive producers and Alimi Ballard, Damon Dayoub, Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido and Bethany Joy Lenz also star.

Dr. Ken
Ken Jeong stars in the title role as a physician who is good at pathology but bad at bedside manner. He tries to be a good doctor, husband, and dad, but frequently screws things up. Fortunately, he has a therapist wife (Suzy Nakamura) to help balance him out.

A politician’s son reappears a decade after disappearing as a young child. In this thriller, the family has to decide whether the prodigal son is really their son, or an impostor. Joan Allen, Zach Gilford, Allison Pill and Margot Bingham star.

The Muppets
This time, it’s for grownups! The mockumentary will take a look at the personal lives — both at home and at work — of Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the gang. The Big Bang Theory‘s Bill Prady and Bob Kushell are co-writers and executive producers.

Of Kings and Prophets
An epic Biblical saga told through the eyes of a battle-weary king, a powerful and resentful prophet and a resourceful young shepherd on a collision course with destiny. Ray Winstone stars as King Saul, while Haaz Sleiman, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Oliver Rix, Simone Kessell, James Floyd, Mohammad Bakri and Tomer Kapon round out the cast.
