Sure, Bryan Cranston was pretty good, but the real star of Breaking Bad was Gus Fring’s chicken restaurant/underground meth lab, Los Pollos Hermanos.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]f you’re a Breaking Bad superfan, you could always take a trip to the Twisters in Albuquerque, which is the real life restaurant where they filmed the show. Sadly it’s not actually called Los Pollos Hermanos.
According to a recent AMA on reddit with the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan, the likelihood of a legitimate Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant opening up might be close to becoming a reality.
“Believe it or not… there is talk of a Pollos Hermanos becoming a real restaurant. This is not an idea that I generated personally but it’s one that’s been presented to me, through the good folks at Sony, and the idea came to them from a businessman who has an interest in doing just that. Speaking for myself, I’d love to see that happen!”
How cool would that be? When you walk in they could have you put on a disposable hazmat suit, all the drinks could be served in barrels, and the staff could call everyone bitch and totally get away with it.
We’d eat there.
