Get it? Surface?… Surf-ace?… SURF-ace… Yeah, you get it.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he original Point Break (1991) tells the story of an FBI agent named Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves) who goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of surfers/bank robbers led by Bodhi (Patrick Swayze). The film has since become a cult classic, and because Hollywood struggles to come up with new original ideas, it’s getting a remake.
During the recent CinemaCon, Warner Bros. premiered some footage from the upcoming film as well as a few photos. From what we’ve read, the footage that was shown was action packed and the film looks promising.
Check out the first photos below.
Luke Bracey as Johnny Utah
Édgar Ramirez as Bodhi

The remake stays somewhat true to the original, but changes things up a little bit. Like how the Édgar Ramirez totally looks like Keanu Reeves but plays Bodhi and Luke Bracey has blonde hair like Patrick Swayze but is playing Johnny Utah.
Wow, how innovative.
Agent Utah must go undercover to infiltrate a gang of adrenaline junkies that might be tied to a wave of crimes. It’s not just about surfing and bank robbing this time.
Point Break is written by Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium, Salt) and is directed by Ericson Core (director of photography on The Fast and the Furious). It hits theaters on December 25, 2015.
