Earlier today, the first official trailer dropped for the upcoming fourth major installment of the Matrix franchise and we… we have a lot of questions. For starters, why? Regardless of our skepticism, we are looking forward to returning to the world of the Matrix and seeing some insane martial arts fights. We just don’t have high hopes for the story. Take a look at the trailer and see for yourself.

From visionary filmmaker, Lana Wachowski comes “The Matrix Resurrections,” the long-awaited fourth film in the groundbreaking franchise that redefined a genre. The new film reunites original stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the iconic roles of Neo and Trinity.

The film stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Telma Hopkins, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The Matrix Resurrections will be available on December 22 in theaters and on HBO Max, streaming only on the Ad-Free plan in the US for 31 days from its theatrical release.
